Hello Pacifier,

I am poor Juppi. I am born without shoes. Until I come to United States from Suomi, which you call Finland, I am living all my life at Rovaniemi, which is capital of Lapland. Here in U. S. mountains I am lumberjacking which is a very dangerous work to have. I like very much to have pretty friend someday who have boat like you have. Is this your boat or is this somebody's? You probably do not find my working very interesting to be talking about, so I leave that part of my life story out of the picture of me I am describing. Back at home in Rovaniemi, we have a northern light which at midsummernighttime is very beautiful spectacle for you to visit in your jet if ever you have chance to come visiting us then. You need only to talk of Juppi Jupola, and if I am still in U.S.A. cutting trees, you will become very welcome guest at all streetcorners where a very friendly Finnish people are, which we call ourselves to be Suomaleinein, are gathering, especially when pretty foreign born like you passes by. Here, in U. S. mountains, I not have much luck these days being happy with woman anymore like home. Here, everybody wants to be having so much talking about nothing over and over until it is so late into the nighttime hours and everybody else become so drunken, I only want to sleep. Home, we are very equal people. For wintertime, we go fishing in roundshape hole which we cut in a ice, we drink, and we make sex with eachother. Here, I only see drinking. I think you will like me much because you say you have a motto which goes, "Live well, laugh often and love much." This must be a pacific cultural expression I have not heard before today. Please write to me back. I am very lonely and strong Finnish man with so much energy for you to love you very much.

Juppi
