I like that you're "poised, prim, and proper"; but not only that, but that that you know it, recognize it, and embrace it. I also like that you recognize that there is this other part of you that really wants to break free. Years and years ago, when I was blowing my mind away in Amsterdam, I realized very quickly that I had to get out of there fast. There was too much of the prim and proper in me, too much Ivy-League etiquette, too much propriety to stay, I felt, without my very quickly losing control of virtually everything. So, I left. It is hard to keep the balance, hard to exist without tipping too much to one side or the other: too stiff and formal and rigid, going one way; or just a super-nova human casualty blown away in space, on the other.
