Dear Jeralan,

No, I'm afraid for me, it's the latter. None of it adds up. Why? While I'm not expecting some post-angst ridden manifesto for a profile, I still get a little bit puzzled over how smart, Ivy League-educated people, people who have gone through such a thorough round of exposure (and in some cases double-exposure) to the best thinking and top-notch minds around, can still be such chatterboxes! All I hear is good grammar. But, maybe I've got it all wrong: you could simply be an absolutely delightful person who hasn't been crushed by the overweening excesses and privileges of the northeast. Maybe you're just comfortable and happy with yourself, and really have nothing to prove. Could it be nothing more than you're just a good person who was intelligent enough and lucky enough to go after and get a great education? By George, I think I've got it! Mazel tov.
